The Board and staff at Highmark Federal Credit Union are hosting their first annual CU on the Green golf tournament on Sunday, September 11, at Meadowbrook Golf Course. The public is invited to register for a 4-man team to play an 18 hole day in the sun, for only $65.00 per person. The Highmark staff is also selling raffle tickets for one lucky person to win a Nike Xtreme Sport Carry golf bag, valued at $150, courtesy of Rushmore Honda. The proceeds from the entry fees and raffle tickets will benefit Meals on Wheels, Rapid City.
“The Meals on Wheels program fills a huge need for many elderly in our community,” explains Marcia Murray, Executive Director, Meals on Wheels, Rapid City. “Without the financial resources and volunteers to deliver 925 meals a week in the immediate Rapid City area alone, we would have many people not getting the nutrition they need daily to remain healthy so that they can remain in their homes. The meal deliveries made by our volunteers provides us the opportunity to also check in on these folks as well,” concludes Murray. John Carlson, President of Highmark Federal Credit Union, is pleased that he and his staff are partnering with this organization to help meet this need.
There is a limited number of teams that can register for this tournament, so stop by our 725 5th Street Rapid City office or give us at call at 605-716-4444 and sign up your team today! While you’re there, don’t forget to buy a ticket for your chance to win a Nike Xtreme Sport Carry Golf Bag. The staff at Highmark wants to CU on the Green!
