Hiway Credit Union launches Hiway Holiday Heroes to honor individuals who make the holidays brighter

ST. PAUL, MN (November 20, 2020) — Hiway Credit Union announced today the launch of Hiway Holiday Heroes, a program that will honor individuals in our community who spread holiday cheer in special and unsung ways.  Hiway Holiday Heroes is being conducted in conjunction with GLOW:  The Great Minnesota Holiday Get-Together, the largest holiday light show in Minnesota history.  Hiway is the presenting sponsor of the first year-event underway at the Minnesota State Fairgrounds.

The community is encouraged to nominate an unheralded person who helps to make the holidays brighter for others.  Nominations can be made at hiway.org/holiday-heroes.

“The holidays can be hard for some people and this year is presenting challenges that we haven’t experienced in our lifetimes,” said Hiway President/CEO Dave Boden. “During these especially difficult times that threaten to steal some of the holiday spirit, Hiway wants celebrate and honor the unsung heroes in our community who unselfishly give of themselves to make season a little merrier for those in need.”

Twenty Hiway Holiday Heroes will be selected during the run of GLOW, which operates for 46 consecutive nights beginning on November 19, 2020 and running through January 3, 2021. Each winner will receive a ticket to GLOW and recognition at the festival.

For more information on GLOW, please visit glowholiday.com or at hiway.org.  When customers use the access key “HIWAY” when purchasing tickets to their desired date, GLOW will donate $2 from every ticket purchased to the Hiway Credit Union Foundation.
