Hiway Federal Credit Union President/CEO, Dave Boden, joins MNCUN Board of Directors

ST. PAUL, MN (July 15, 2019) — Hiway Federal Credit Union® (Hiway) President and CEO, Dave Boden was recently named to the Board of Directors for the Minnesota Credit Union Network (MnCUN), the state’s trade association for Minnesota’s credit unions.

“The Minnesota Credit Union Network’s Board of Directors is very excited to welcome Dave Boden,” said Karen Fleming, MnCUN Board Chair, “Dave’s insight into the credit union movement and the communities we serve is a valuable asset to our trade association. Besides serving on the Board of Directors, Dave will again serve on our Political Involvement Committee where he is a true leader. ”

MnCUN is driven to ensure the success, growth and vitality of its member credit unions by creating a positive public environment through leadership, political advocacy, education, awareness and regulatory assistance. MnCUN represents nearly 400 credit union locations that serve 1.8 million members in Minnesota.

“MnCUN’s Board of Directors works to ensure that all member credit unions receive high-quality service and that the interests of Minnesota credit unions are promoted both at the state and national level,” said Mark Cummins, MnCUN President & CEO. “Dave is actively engaged on behalf of the industry in local, state and national committees. We welcome his wealth of experience and proven leadership abilities to the Board.”

Boden, who has served as Hiway’s President/CEO since 2013, brings over three decades of experience in the financial services industry to the MnCUN Board. Prior to being named President with Hiway, Boden served at the Hiway’s Vice President of Technology. Boden has provided leadership to several key business units within the St. Paul based credit union including Information Technology functions, Card Services, Facilities Management, Teller Operations, Electronic Service Delivery, Business Continuity, Strategic Planning, Project Management and Security.

“I am excited for the opportunity to join The MnCUN Board,” said Boden. “The leadership at MnCUN along with the Board have always done a wonderful job of representing the interests of all the credit unions in Minnesota and I look forward to continuing that success along with increasing the awareness of what credit unions bring to our members and to our communities.”

A frequent industry speaker and panelist, Boden is active in a variety of service organization advisory groups and committees, including Fiserv, Q2 and PSCU. He was also on the CIO Advisory Board for Fiserv’s XP2 division and moved to the CEO Advisory Board in September of 2013. In addition to his industry activities, Boden is passionate about military and veterans’ causes, and has been Chairman of the City of St. Paul Beyond the Yellow Ribbon Steering Committee since 2015. He also recently served as the de-facto credit union representative on the City of St. Paul’s Task Force charged with creating Mayor Carter’s innovative College Savings Account plan for all children born in the city.

In 2018, Boden was named to the Minnesota 500 as one of the top business leaders in the state.
