Holley, Watkins & Thomas Designated Credit Union Compliance Experts
Newburgh, IN — Heritage Federal Credit Union is pleased to announce that Carrie Holley, Director of Internal Audit, Jonathan Watkins, Staff Auditor, and Debbie Thomas, Compliance Officer, received Compliance Expert Certification after successful completion of regulatory training presented by the Credit Union National Association.
The Credit Union National Association (CUNA) is the premier national trade association serving credit unions. Ninety percent of America’s credit unions are affiliated with CUNA, which supports the credit union movement by providing a number of services including regulatory training and certification. Keeping up with credit union laws and regulations is critical to the operations of Heritage Federal Credit Union. With three Credit Union Compliance Expert (CUCE) certified employees, the Credit Union is equipped with the compliance knowledge essential to the credit union’s needs.
Holley, Watkins and Thomas were recently designated Credit Union Compliance Experts after they completed training that consisted of five modules, each with a proctored final exam. These modules covered a comprehensive understanding of regulations knowledge in the following areas: Deposit Accounts, General Operations, Consumer Lending, Mortgage Lending, and NCUA Requirements.
