ST. JOSEPH, MI (April 30, 2014) -- Honor Credit Union recently held its 80th Annual Meeting. This annual meeting was attended by Honor’s volunteer board of directors, Honor employees, and was also open to members. This year’s meeting took place on March 18th at the Saint Joseph branch location and the agenda included an overview of 2013 and the re-election of board members.
After the retirement of 12 year board member Tim Hoyle this year, Honor Credit Union’s volunteer board of directors now includes 9 members; Larry Olson – Chair, Brian Brown – Vice Chair, Mark Fry – Treasurer, Mimi Elwell – Secretary, Ron Griesinger – Board Member, Scott Carter – Board Member, Dana Slocum – Board Member, Richard Atwell – Board Member, and Gil Guzman – Board Member. The board members that were up for re-election at the 80th Annual Meeting were Richard Atwell and Larry Olson.
Board Member Larry Olson delivered the State of the Credit Union address, which summarized the current economic conditions in the State of Michigan. Despite an overall less than positive economic forecast, the conditions at Honor Credit Union continue to be strong and the credit union remains financially solid. The strong team at Honor Credit Union backed by its volunteer Board of Directors continue to provide solutions for financial success.
