St. Joseph, MI – July 26, 2011 – Honor Credit Union recently awarded twenty-three $500 scholarships to local high school seniors.   The Honor Community Commitment Scholarship is awarded to students based on academic excellence and a commitment to community service.  Scholarships can be used toward a college, university or trade school of choice.  Recipients include:  Abdiel Gaytan, Andrews Academy; Tenisha Sade’ Jones, Benton Harbor High School; Brittney Haygood, Berrien Springs High School; Taylor Mattiford, Brandywine High School; David Hauck, Bridgman High School; Ryan Henckel, Buchanan High School; Arminda Hershberger, Cassopolis High School; Kaytlin Veverka, Coloma High School; Elizabeth Ruiz, Covert High School; Courtney Klann, Dowagiac High School; Sarah Garlanger, Eau Claire High School; Evan Zimmerman, Edwardsburg High School; Katherine Conner, Lake Michigan Catholic High School; Maggie Hildebrand, Lakeshore High School; Megan Rabbers, Michigan Lutheran High School; Matthew Dodge, Niles High School; Trevor Gray, River Valley High School; Megan McNitt, St. Joseph High School; Gregory Maxwell, South Haven High School; Jamie Richcreek, Watervliet High School; Brandon Overhiser, Hamilton High School.
