Honor Credit Union, South Haven Food Drive a success!

ST. JOSEPH, MI (October 8, 2013) -- Honor Credit Union hosted a food drive at South Haven’s recent homecoming football game vs. Berrien Springs.  On Friday September 27th, Honor Credit Union was offering a rally towel for both South Haven fans and Berrien Springs fans in exchange for a non-perishable food item or monetary donation.  Due to the support of students and community members, the food drive was a huge success!  Honor Credit Union was able to raise $134.00 and 291 canned goods for the local food pantry, We Care INC.!

The success of this food drive was also greatly contributed to by Jamin Olds, the South Haven High School Athletic Director, Pastor Jeffrey Dick of the Congregational Church of South Haven where the food panty is located, John Gillet, the manager of We Care Inc., and last, but certainly not least, the students and South Haven community members who made donations.

“We are so appreciative of the support of our community,” comments South Haven branch manager Terri Auensen, “The participation and generousity of our community and students really made this food drive a success.”
