ST. JOSEPH, MI (May 7, 2014) -- Honor Credit Union is partnering with an annual volunteer initiative, Do Something 2014. Hosted by My First Church, Do Something 2014 is bringing together volunteers from several area groups including the Boys and Girls Club, Michigan Youth Opportunities Incentive, and the Bridge Academy, in addition to many individual volunteers to work on over 50 projects throughout the Berrien County Area.
In addition to a monetary donation of $200 dollars to support the cost of the community projects, Honor will also be promoting the volunteer opportunities to both its employees and the community. In line with the philosophy of community reinvestment, Honor offers paid community volunteer time to each of its employees. The Do Something 2014’s over fifty community projects will provide excellent ways for Honor employees in the Berrien County area to get involved. Separating their projects into categories including specialized, adults 14+, and families with children, Do Something 2014 has made it easy for everyone to get involved.
