ST. JOSEPH, MI (March 24, 2014) – Honor Credit Union’s Stevensville branch location will host the first of seven Community Shred Days of 2014 on Saturday April 5. Both members and non-members are invited to bring their confidential paper to the Stevensville branch location to be safely and securely shredded, for free! The time of the community shred will be between 9am and 12pm. A focus of Honor in 2014 is an environmentally conscious initiative to go paperless. Community Shred Days provide a free and secure option for the community to join Honor’s initiative and dispose of their confidential documents.
Hosting two Community Shred Days in 2013, Honor realized that the popularity of this event was outgrowing its semi-annual status. To continue to serve the communities’ needs to safely shred and recycle their confidential documents, Honor has seven Community Shred Days planned for 2014! They will be spread throughout the year and take place throughout Honor’s branch locations. Kent Record Management is the document destruction company that will host all seven Community Shred Days, and keeping in line with Honor’s e-strategy to go paperless, all shred collected is securely recycled. Participants are asked to limit the bags/boxes/bins that they bring in to be shredded to 10. There is no need to sign up in advance.
