Horizon Credit Union board member named Montana “Mitch Reed” Credit Union Volunteer of the Year

Mark Lodine recognized for over 40 years of credit union advocacy in Montana

SPOKANE VALLEY, WA (June 14, 2017) — Mark Lodine received the Montana “Mitch Reed” Credit Union Volunteer of the Year Award at Montana’s Credit Unions Power Up conference on May 17, 2017. Lodine is the first individual to receive the award for a second time.

Each year, Montana’s Credit Unions recognizes one individual for their outstanding volunteerism in the credit union arena. Lodine received this award in recognition of his continued service as a credit union advocate in various capacities for more than 40 years.

Horizon Credit Union CEO, Jeff Adams states, “Mark’s long-term volunteerism on behalf of the credit union movement is very impressive. We are grateful for the impact he has made not only at Horizon as a board member, but also as a credit union advocate at both the state and national level.”

Lodine, who currently serves as a board member at Horizon Credit Union previously won the same award in 2005 as board chairman at Montana 1st Credit Union. He became a part of the Horizon Credit Union Board of Volunteers when the two credit unions merged in 2012.
