HR/TD Council announces 2014 executive committee

Results from Annual Election by the Not for Profit, Member Led Professional Organization
MADISON, WI (May 6, 2014) -- The coming year’s executive committee and officers for the CUNA HR/TD Council were announced during the council’s 20th annual conference, which took place April 27-30 in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. This is a result of the most recent annual election by the council membership in the months preceding the conference.

Robert Davis, senior vice president of human resources for VyStar CU in Jacksonville, Fla. will become the council chair. Cindy Swigert, chief human resources officer for United FCU in St. Joseph, Mich. will become council vice-chair and Lisa Baron, senior vice president of human resources and talent management for Baxter CU in Vernon Hills, Ill. will become the council 2nd vice chair.

Three new members elected to the executive committee are:

  • Buddy Bennett, manager of human resources and training for Cyprus FCU in West Jordan, Utah.;
  • Mark Millwood, director of human resources for Eastman CU in Kingsport, Tenn.
  • Nora Swart, senior vice president of talent for Lake Michigan CU in Grand Rapids, Mich.

 

The new members replace departing executive committee members: Jeffrey Duke, innovation program manager for BECU in Seattle, Wash.; Roberta Smith, former senior vice president of human resources for Missoula FCU in Missoula, Mont. and Norma Stein, former vice president of human resources for SchoolsFirst FCU in Santa Ana, Calif.

 

The CUNA HR/TD Council executive committee also includes:

  • Robert Carmichael, senior vice president of human resources and training and development for Maine Savings FCU in Hampden, Maine.
  • Jennifer Huggard, assistant vice president of talent for Northwest Credit Union Association in Federal Way, Wash.;
  • Suzanne Oliver, senior vice president of educational services and governmental affairs for Mountain America FCU in West Jordan, Utah;
  • Linda Steger, vice president of human resources for NRL FCU in Oxon Hill, Md.
