HUD secretary rings HUDFCU’s Bell of Financial Freedom

WASHINGTON, D.C. (September 12, 2017) — CEO Bill Kennedy and the HUDFCU team were thrilled that Secretary Carson dropped by the credit union prior to his NAFCU appearance to ring the Bell of Financial Freedom and extoll the value of credit union membership: HUD employees, family members and contractors can count on HUDFCU to help them obtain financial freedom.

HUD Secretary and HUD Federal Credit Union member, Dr. Ben Carson will address the National Association of Federal Credit Unions (NAFCU) Congressional Caucus on Tuesday, September 12, 2017. Secretary Carson, a credit union member previous to his service to HUD, is familiar with credit unions and therefore willing to be the first HUDFCU member to ring “the Bell of Financial Freedom” – a tag line that will accompany HUDFCU’s upcoming new member and financial product promotional campaign.

HUDFCU CEO, Kennedy, a previous NAFCU Professional CEO of the Year recipient, expressed his appreciation to Secretary Carson for involvement in HUDFCU and the credit union community, and is looking forward to the NAFCU Congressional Caucus gathering and the Secretary’s remarks.
