Hughes Federal Credit Union is proud to announce the release of its new Banner Children’s at Diamond Children’s Medical Center Debit Card, available beginning December 1. For every card that is instantly issued in-branch, Hughes will make a direct donation to Diamond Children’s Medical Center, helping to provide support and comfort to young patients and their families.
To celebrate the launch and to give back during the holiday season, Hughes is also hosting a Holiday Toy & Gift Drive from Dec. 1-22 at all branch locations. Members and community members are invited to donate new, unwrapped toys, books, or gift cards to brighten the season for children hospitalized at Diamond Children’s.
Accepted items include:
• Books
• Playing cards
• Board games
• Building blocks
• Action figures
• Baby doll sets
• Arts & craft kits
• Gift cards
• (and other new, unwrapped toys)
“We are honored to continue our support for Diamond Children’s and provide a way for our members to impact children in our community directly,” said Elisa Ross, Vice President of Marketing at Hughes Federal Credit Union. “The Diamond Children’s Debit Card allows members to give back simply by choosing the instant-issued card, which supports critical programs and services for pediatric patients. And the toy drive ensures every child at Diamond Children’s feels a sense of joy this holiday season.”
“We deeply appreciate this partnership with Hughes Federal Credit Union that brings invaluable resources to our Child Life program,” says Aubrey Cameron, Senior Certified Child Life Specialist at Diamond Children’s. “The services we provide are an essential part of making kids and their families feel empowered, safe, and comfortable during their medical journey, and a visit to the Toy Chest to choose a toy to keep is their favorite reward for being brave. On behalf of all the Southern Arizona kids in our care, thank you for this generous support.”
Members may request the new debit card at any Hughes branch. Donations for the toy drive can be dropped off inside the branch lobbies during regular business hours through December 22.
