IBM Southeast Employees’ Credit Union to host Head Start Christmas party
Credit union employees and members donate to Atlanta-area kids In need
DELRAY BEACH, FL (November 13, 2015) — IBM Southeast Employees’ Credit Union Federal Center branch employees will host the 46th Annual Children’s Christmas Party for kids ages 3 to 5 in the local Atlanta Head Start Program on Wednesday, December 9, 2015, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
The Credit Union is now accepting donations of gifts, money and time from Members and the community. Donations can be dropped off at any of the 10 IBMSECU Atlanta branches. Several children will be treated to a morning of Christmas carols, story time, cookies, a meeting with Santa and Mrs. Claus and a bag full of gifts.
The Georgia Head Start Association’s Mission is to provide education, leadership and advocacy that support Head Start programs’ efforts in delivering high quality comprehensive services to Georgia’s children, families and communities.
Michael Miller, CEO of IBMSECU, stated that the Credit Union enjoys being active in and apart of several local community charities and events. “We see our employees and Members volunteering to make our communities a better place to live as well as help give local youth a better life. We are so proud of them. We look forward to this Christmas Party every year, spreading holiday cheer and helping local kids in need.”
According to the Georgia Head Start Association, there are 31 organizations, including school systems, community action agencies and universities that operate Head Start and Early Head Start programs in Georgia. Services are provided to children and families in 157 out of 159 counties in Georgia.
