Illinois Credit Union system elects officers at Annual Convention

NAPERVILLE, IL (April 13, 2017) — Illinois Credit Union League Board Members were sworn in during the Delegates Meeting at the ICUL 87^th Annual Convention in Schaumburg, Illinois.

Board members were elected to three year terms. They included:

Alan Meyer, 1^st MidAmerica CU (District 1, Class C)

Janet Fancoeur, Riverside Community CU (District 2, Class A)

Joseph Kregul, Healthcare Associates CU (District 2, Class D)

Thomas Pierce, Midwest Operating Engineers CU (District 3, Class B)

The current Board officers are: Chairman – Alan Meyer, Vice-Chairman – Sean Rathjen, and Secretary/Treasurer – Tim O’Donnell.

ICUL Service Corporation (LSC) also held their annual meeting at the Convention and the following were elected to the Board:

Chairman: Alan Meyer, Vice-Chairman: Sean Rathjen, and Secretary/Treasurer: Tim O’Donnell.

League Past Chair Director: Peter Paulson

League At-Large Director: Jose Garcia

Credit Union At-Large Directors: Libby Calderone, Brenda Crane, E. J. Donaghey, & Joe Kregul

The ICU Foundation elected Board members to three year terms. They included:

Janet Francoeur – President (Retired) Riverside Community CU

Michael Lee – CEO KCT Credit Union

John Hansen – President/CEO Rockford Bell CU

Brad Bergmooser – Vice President/General Counsel BCU, to fill an unexpired term that ends in 2019.

Other ICU Foundation members include: John Fiore – Board Member Andigo CU, Matt McCombs – CEO Vibrant CU, Ann Dubie – CEO NuMark CU, Thomas Lex – CEO Heartland CU, and Thomas Pierce – President Midwest Operating Engineers CU.

The ICU Foundation Officers are: Chairman – Mike Lee, Vice-Chairman – Tom Lex, and Secretary/Treasurer – Ann Dubie.

Credit Union Political Action Council (CUPAC) held officer elections at their annual meeting. The new Table officers are as follows:

Chairman: Raeann Love, Vice-Chairman: Brian Cedergren, Treasurer: Mike Frye, Secretary: Charla Buchanan

CUPAC’s board members will remain the same:

Charla Buchanan – CEFCU (Peoria), Brian Cedergren – Abri CU (Romeoville), Mike Daugherty – Community Plus FCU (Rantoul), Pete Fauth – Financial Plus CU (Ottawa), John Fiore – Andigo (Schaumburg), Mike Frye – Midwest Members FCU (Wood River), Kristine Kowalski – Kane County Teachers CU (Elgin), Tom Lex – Heartland CU (Springfield), Frank Padak – Scott CU (Collinsville), and Raeann Love – CommonWealth CU (Kankakee).

This year’s Convention theme, “The Art of Creating Value” represented a mission of the League to help Illinois credit unions create innovative ways to bring value to their members. The event concluded Saturday at the Schaumburg Renaissance Convention Center.
