Indiana Members Credit Union (IMCU), Central Indiana’s largest credit union, hosted a Mortgage Seminar Series at two of their locations.  The Mortgage Seminars took place on May 24, 2012 at their Government Center Branch and on June 21, 2012 at their Castleton Branch.  The seminars were designed to walk potential homebuyers through the mortgage process.

During the seminars, IMCU Mortgage Services Representative, Shelley Nescola, covered topics such as, mortgage applications and the pre-approval process, mortgage loan options, determining your qualifying mortgage amount, sources of down payments, closing costs and rate lock-ins, understanding your credit score and changes in the credit markets.

Nescola stated, “Educating members on the mortgage process is important, as it’s one of the biggest decisions you will make.  The entire process can be confusing, and IMCU wants to simplify it as much as possible for our members.  Being able to provide this essential service to our members and the public is something we are happy to offer and feel it goes hand in hand with the credit union philosophy of ‘People Helping People’.”

IMCU will continue to offer mortgage seminars throughout the year, please contact Shelley Nescola for more information at 317-814-2430, snescola@imcu.com.
