Indiana Members Foundation raises over $24,000 at 8th annual charity fundraising event

INDIANAPOLIS, IN (March 21, 2017) — Indiana Members Credit Union (IMCU), Central Indiana’s largest credit union, hosted their eighth annual charity fundraising event, A Tailgate Extravaganza, to benefit the Indiana Members Foundation, at the Indiana Farm Bureau Football Center, 7001 W. 56th Street, Indianapolis, IN 46254, on Saturday, February 11, 2017.  Over 200 people attended the event which raised over $24,000 for the Indiana Members Foundation.  The mission of the foundation is to provide school children in the Indianapolis and surrounding communities with the necessities essential for learning and succeeding in their education.

Highlights of the evening included food catered by MCL, a silent auction with online bidding, casino entertainment by the Craps Kings, DJ and dance floor by Diamond Productions DJ Entertainment, a corn hole tournament, an opportunity to kick a field goal on the practice field, and selfie picture stations.  Sponsors for the evening included Indiana Title & Closing Services, Ivan Ekhaus Insurance, QSI, Stephen J Hyatt Attorney at Law, WPB Constructors, Team Endicott Realty, ICA, Enterprise Car Sales, Paragon Resources and Employee Benefits Group.

“Thank you to our sponsors, employees, family, friends and community members for making our Tailgate Extravaganza a huge success,” said Mandy Emery, vice president of community involvement, IMCU.  “The proceeds from this event will help Indiana Members Foundation put the tools essential to learn into the hands of students in the communities that Indiana Members Credit union serves.  Our goal this year is to fill 5,000 backpacks with school supplies for children in need, provide four grants up to $2,500 to local non-profits that serve the youth in the communities IMCU serves, and help us grant up to twenty-five $1,000 Robert E Martin Collegiate Scholarships!”
