Inspire Federal Credit Union partnered with the American Red Cross

Inspire Federal Credit Union (https://www.inspirefcu.org) partnered with the American Red Cross (https://www.redcross.org/) for the End Home Fire campaign in Lower Bucks County on Saturday, January 19th.

The American Red Cross’s End Home Fires campaign is an initiative that helps save lives by installing smoke alarms in homes that don’t have them, or have outdated ones, and educating people about home fire safety. Representatives from Inspire Federal Credit Union volunteered to install detectors in the homes of community residents who requested the support from the American Red Cross.

More than 30 homes in Lower Bucks County were pre-scheduled to receive new, updated smoke detectors. The Credit Union volunteers, along with other Red Cross volunteers and staff, visited homes in Bristol and Falls Township and installed new smoke detectors which are a leading preventative measure in fire safety. According to the Red Cross, an estimated 511 lives have been saved due to smoke detectors installed through the End Home Fires campaign.

Jim Merrill, President/CEO of Inspire FCU said, “This program has such a valuable impact on our community, and our Credit Union is thrilled to be a part of it. Inspire FCU, and The American Red Cross share a common mission of providing good community service, and we look forward to future opportunities to support programs like the End Home Fires campaign in our community”.

Inspire FCU continues to expand on the partnership with American Red Cross through programs like End Home Fires, and their annual Bleed Purple Blood Drives. For more information on community activities Inspire supports, visit www.inspirefcu.org.
