Iowa Credit Union League COO appointed to CUNA Strategic Services Board of Directors

DES MOINES, IA (April 17, 2014) -- Iowa Credit Union League (ICUL) COO, Murray Williams, was recently appointed to serve as a board member of CUNA Strategic Services, Inc. CUNA Strategic Services (CSS) is jointly owned by Credit Union National Association (CUNA) is jointly owned by CUNA and state credit union leagues to develop innovative product offerings and vendor partnerships for the benefit of credit unions nationwide.

“I am honored to serve on the CUNA Strategic Services Board of Directors with industry leaders from around the country,” said Williams. “I’m looking forward to helping credit unions grow and bring added value to their members through the products offered by CSS and its alliance partners.”

As the COO of ICUL, Williams manages ICUL’s operations while overseeing dues and fee-based services, and providing integration with ICUL subsidiaries and partners. He has been with the organization for nearly 18 years. He also serves as Chief Administrative Officer of ICUL’s holding company, Affiliates Management Company. He earned his Certified Association Executive (CAE) designation through the American Society of Association Executives, his MBA from Iowa State University and also completed his BA with honors at ISU. Williams has been inducted into the International Executive Volunteer Corps for the World Council of Credit Unions and is a former chairman of the national Public Relations Society of America's Association/Nonprofit Section.
