CLEVELAND, OH (March 1, 2024) — Ira “Dave” Wilde has been appointed as the new President/CEO of Century Federal Credit Union, based in Cleveland, Ohio. Wilde has succeeded Sharon Churchill as the President and CEO of Century Federal.
After dedicating fourteen years to Century Federal, Sharon, who recently announced her retirement, shared her satisfaction with the achievements and progress made during her time at the credit union. Sharon believes that Wilde will maintain the values and principles she has instilled, securing the ongoing success of Century Federal.
Wilde has over 25 years of experience in executive management in the credit union industry. He is known for his exceptional leadership principles and innovative ideas that consistently drive superior performance. Wilde has a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance, Insurance, and Real Estate from California State University, Sacramento. Wilde was the Vice President of Marketing, Business Development, and Wealth Management at Sun Federal Credit Union in Ohio before transitioning to Century Federal.
Throughout his tenure, Wilde was instrumental in formulating successful marketing strategies, spearheading business development ventures, and pioneering the introduction of cutting-edge products. His leadership was pivotal in driving the credit union’s membership growth, service diversification, and overall improvement in member satisfaction.
Century Federal’s Chairman of the Board, Pete Bonacuse, acknowledged Wilde’s significant roles as Chair at the Ohio Credit Union League, OCULAC/OCULPAC Board, and State of Ohio Board Representative on CUNA’s CULAC Board. Moreover, Wilde served as a Board Member at the Educational Service Center of Lake Erie West. Bonacuse emphasized, “These positions highlight Wilde’s dedication and leadership within the credit union industry.” The board eagerly anticipates Dave’s guidance, embodying our motto, “Together we’re better,” which illustrates his capacity to unify
and empower the team toward collective achievement and advancement in the credit union.
