Island Federal to partner with “The Grubfather” Sal DiBenedetto

LACEY, WA (January 19, 2022) — Island Federal Credit Union (Island Federal) has announced a partnership with Sal DiBenedetto, the well-known digital media producer and social media personality also known as “The Grubfather.” The new partnership that will unite two of Long Island’s fastest-growing brands will provide meaningful and engaging content to the local community.

Over the past few years, Sal DiBenedetto’s digital media content featuring restaurants in Nassau-Suffolk, has made him one of Long Island’s more recognizable social media figures.

Through this collaboration, Island Federal and The Grubfather will educate the Long Island community on ways to make the most of their banking relationship and help them take control of their finances, all while staying up to date on our community’s latest “must visit” restaurants.

“We are excited to partner with Sal, not just because he’s a successful influencer from Hauppauge, but because he shares Island Federal’s vision to promote Long Island as a great place to live and work,” commented Bret W. Sears, President/CEO, Island Federal.

Sears continues, “Throughout our 66-year history, we’ve provided financial services to the Long Island community and feel this collaboration will deliver engaging and educational content to the individuals and families we serve. We look forward to all the exciting programs that the partnership will produce.”

Sal DiBenedetto agrees, “As a proud Long Islander who has invested so much of my brand into my hometown, partnering with Island Federal was a natural fit. Their commitment to enhancing the life of Long Islanders and the businesses which make our local scene thrive, is something I admire and respect. We’ve put our heads together for some incredibly creative campaigns that are sure to be not only delicious, but also educative, fun, and interactive with our respective audiences. This is the start of a beautiful partnership and, most importantly of all, adding value to our beloved Long Island.”

The roll-out of their partnership starts in January 2022.
