St. Louis Blues brings the Stanley Cup to the credit union

This past week, the NHL Stanley Cup visited American Eagle Credit Union/Anheuser-Busch Employees’ Credit Union featuring a fantastic new addition, the names of the 2018-19 championship team, the St.Louis Blues. It is the oldest existing trophy awarded by a professional sports franchise in North America, and the only trophy in passed from player to player in the offseason after winning. After winning the Stanley Cup Final in 2019, the iconic cup began a 36-city, 45-stop tour spanning three continents celebrating the St. Louis Blues championship victory.

“Having the Stanley Cup here was a thrill for our employees, board members and a few lucky members. Many employees invited their family members and die-hard St. Louis Blues friends to share in the experience, and we saw many smiles and even a few tears from long-time fans. It was a very special experience and opportunity for all of us at the Credit Union,” said Paula Anderson, Vice President of Corporate Strategy, Brand and Communications.

A long-time cheerleader of the St. Louis Blues, the Credit Union expanded its marketing partnership at the beginning of the 2018-19 season to add the “American Eagle Credit Union Terrace,” a 700-seat terrace that features all-inclusive, in-seat food and beverage service for fans. In addition, the Credit Union continues to sponsor the St. Louis Blues First Responder’s Night and the Police vs. Fire Hockey Game benefiting emergency response organizations.

The Credit Union is also a proud to continue sponsoring the Champions Blue Note 5K benefiting Blues for Kids. This year, the race will be held Sunday, October 6th, at Forest Park. For more information on the race, please click here.
