Jeanne D’Arc Credit Union awards donations from the Steve Jones Legacy Fund

LOWELL, MA (November 26, 2025) |

Jeanne D’Arc Credit Union is proud to announce the 2025 recipients of the Steve Jones Legacy Fund are: Bread and Roses, Cooperative Credit Union Association – A Bed for Every Child, Greater Lowell Family YMCA, Town of Chelmsford Scholarship Committee, Nashua Boys & Girls Club, and Salvation Army of Greater Lowell.

Jeanne D’Arc established the Steve Jones Legacy Fund through the We Share A Common Thread Foundation in memory of Steve’s remarkable legacy, after his sudden passing in September 2016. Steve was a dedicated employee of the Credit Union for 20 years, and through his compassion, enthusiasm, and belief in “People Helping People”, he was known to be one of the community’s finest ambassadors. Jeanne D’Arc strives to honor Steve’s powerful message, “Go Forth & Serve,” by supporting local nonprofit organizations that align with this mission.

Representatives from each of the recipient organizations joined the Credit Union at the UMass Lowell River Hawks hockey game on Friday, October 3rd, 2025, to honor and remember Steve, who had an extraordinary impact on the local community.

“We are so proud to be able to continue Steve’s legacy through this fund named in his honor,” said Larissa Thurston, President and Chief Executive Officer of Jeanne D’Arc Credit Union. “These organizations are strengthening the community just as he did, and we’re glad to be able to support them in this small way.”

The Credit Union will continue to distribute funds on an annual basis. Information on how to donate to the Steve Jones Legacy Fund can be found at WSACT.com
