Jeanne D’Arc Credit Union donates to LGH Teamwalk for Cancer Care in honor of Melissa Etheridge

LOWELL, MA (September 3, 2015) — Jeanne D’Arc Credit Union donated $1,000 to Lowell General Hospital’s TeamWalk for Cancer Care in honor of musician Melissa Etheridge, a cancer survivor who played the last show of the season in this year’s Lowell Summer Music Series.

Additionally, Jeanne D’Arc Credit Union raised another $500 by giving a free T-shirt to any concert attendee who donated at least $5.00 to TeamWalk for Cancer Care, raising the total amount donated to $1,500.00.

“Jeanne D’Arc Credit Union is committed to making a difference within our community. We were excited to make this donation in honor of Melissa Etheridge who understands the battles far too many people face in the fight against cancer,” said Mark S. Cochran, President and Chief Executive Officer of Jeanne D’Arc Credit Union.

Jeanne D’Arc Credit Union has been the premier sponsor of the Lowell Summer Music Series for the past three years and recently signed a five-year contract extension, pushing its premier sponsorship through 2019. Jeanne D’Arc is also a sponsor and proud participant in Lowell General Hospital’s TeamWalk for Cancer Care.

TeamWalk funds help Lowell General Hospital’s Cancer Care Center pay for medication, nutritional supplements, nursing visits, and other services that make a significant difference in the lives of people living with all types of cancer.
