Jeanne D’Arc Credit Union Performs Random Act of Kindness in Celebration of Its 100th Anniversary
LOWELL – Surprising customers at Dunkin Donuts on Lakeview Avenue in Dracut on Friday morning, Jeanne D’Arc Credit Union employees performed a random act of kindness by handing out free T-shirts and $5.00 Dunkin Donuts gift cards.
Turning Friday the 13th on its head, from 8:00 a.m. until 9:00 a.m. on April 13th, Jeanne D’Arc Credit Union President and Chief Executive Officer Mark S. Cochran and a number of employees handed surprised customers a $5.00 gift card and a free Jeanne D’Arc T-shirt, telling customers it was their “lucky day.”
“Enjoy the day,” Cochran said as he handed a gift card to a beaming Dunkin Donuts customer.
“I will now,” the smiling man replied, shaking Cochran’s hand.
Both walk-in and drive-through customers enjoyed the unexpected treats as Jeanne D’Arc Credit Union employees made sure they all received a gift card and T-shirt.
The surprise Random Act of Kindness giveaway was created as a way for Jeanne D’Arc to share its 100th Anniversary celebration with the community. Other events include our ongoing $100 a Day for 100 Days giveaway in which one Credit Union member is selected at random each day to receive $100. Another is our sponsorship of a free concert on June 23 by the Quebec-based band Genticorum at Boarding House Park in Lowell. Additional events will be announced periodically throughout the year.
