Jeanne D’Arc Credit Union ties a Bow on its Season of Giving
LOWELL, MA (December 18, 2017) — As part of Jeanne D’Arc Credit Union’s Season of Giving initiative, the Credit Union held two drives to support Toys for Local Children (TLC) and Lowell Transitional Living Center (LTLC).
From November 15th through December 7th, Jeanne D’Arc made collection boxes available at each branch location for members and employees to contribute to the drives. Those who donated filled the boxes with hats, gloves, scarves and socks for the clients of LTLC and new unwrapped toys for TLC.
The Credit Union collected hundreds of toys, including games, action figures, dolls, stuffed animals and more, as well as 537 winter gear items.
“We are so thankful for the generosity of our members and employees who give back so willingly to the community,” said Mark S. Cochran, President and Chief Executive Officer of Jeanne D’Arc Credit Union. “Social responsibility is an integral part of our mission, and we are pleased to help those in need during this holiday season,” he added.
Lowell Transitional Living Center provides shelter, food, services and support for the chronically homeless in the Greater Lowell area. They support clients through their individual journeys and guide them into permanent, affordable housing.
Toys for Local Children has donated toys to struggling families, shelters and fire victims in Middlesex and Essex counties for the past 12 years.
