JetStream Federal Credit Union announces new VP- Chief Lending Officer

JetStream Federal Credit Union announces that Michael Borman has joined the credit union as Vice President, Chief Lending Officer.

“We are excited to have Michael join the JetStream Federal team,” remarks JetStream’s President and CEO, Jeanne Kucey. “JetStream is committed to helping our members achieve their financial dreams, and Michael has the background and expertise to further improve our lending programs to meet the needs of our diverse, predominately low-income membership.”

As Chief Lending Officer, Borman will be responsible for all credit and lending functions and will own the overall loan portfolio management. He and his teams will direct the quality, growth, market competitiveness, risk management, and asset diversity for consumer lending, mortgage lending, and business lending programs.  Borman is also tasked with ensuring that the strategic direction and execution of the lending portfolios align with JetStream Federal’s mission to help members achieve their financial goals by being a trusted provider of innovative and cost-effective financial services.

When asking Borman about his objectives as the Chief Lending Officer, he explains that his plans are to, “make the lending experience easy and convenient while we continue to expand our loan offerings, allowing our current and future members to reach their financial goals.”

Prior to joining JetStream Federal, Borman served as the Chief Lending Officer at Family First Credit Union in Atlanta, Georgia.  He also held various banking roles including Vice President, Regional Manager at Fifth Third Bank and Vice President of Retail Banking with Wells Fargo. He has over 25 years of industry experience and holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from the University of Central Florida.
