MADISON, WI (March 26, 2014) -- 6th Story announced today a joint strategic planning session initiative to help credit unions afford top-rated meeting facilitators and subject matter experts through cost-sharing. Credit union volunteers and executive management teams will share content, facilities, facilitators, and peer perspectives, while also being provided specific time for private conversations.
“The sixth cooperative principle insists that credit unions most effectively serve their members and the cooperative movement by working together with other cooperatives,” says 6th Story president, Matt Davis. “By organizing joint strategic planning sessions we’re ensuring that credit unions of all sizes have affordable access to the experts they need to drive better outcomes than they could possibly realize going it alone.”
A mid-September joint strategic planning session has been scheduled in Austin, Texas. 6th Story expects 5-10 credit unions to participate. An informational webinar on April 2, 2014, will discuss this initiative in greater detail and explore how other regions can get involved.
