JSC FCU Honored As CCISD 2012 Community Partner of the Year

League City — Clear Creek ISD’s Community Partner of the Year demonstrates a ‘big picture’ understanding of Education in the 21st Century and the call for meaningful collaboration between the community and the school house. During the District’s annual Volunteer & Partnership Breakfast on Friday, May 4, 2012, Superintendent Greg Smith, Ph. D. announced JSC Federal Credit Union as the 2012 Community Partner of the Year.

“JSC Federal Credit Union’s impassioned advocacy for education and children is evident in that many of their staff is on a first name basis with teachers and administrators helping our campuses in so many ways,” said the Superintendent, “It’s clear that it’s not all about what they do, but how they do it. Our teachers and staff often comment on how these team members truly love what they do for our schools and our kids.”

From the classroom to the carnival and from the stadium to the school bus, JSC Federal Credit Union has taken support to one’s community to a whole new level. They operate two “in-school” credit union branches at Clear Springs High School and The Education Village (inside Clear Falls High School). Students from each school work the branch and are mentored in the banking industry. Their staff also collaborates with DECA students mentoring them through the development of marketing plans for the school branches.

“JSCFCU’s impassioned advocacy for education and children is stretched even further through its backing of CCISD support organizations including the Education Foundation, Bay Area Alliance and Communities in Schools” continued Dr. Smith.

In keeping with it’s philosophy of improving lives through financial education, JSC FCU proudly offers FREE financial seminars, youth financial workshops and contributes countless hours in partnering with its Select Employee Groups in educating their employees on the financial choices that matter.
