Kathlynn McConnell honored with CU Builder Award

DULUTH, MN (November 28, 2023) Retiring Members Cooperative Credit Union Learning & Development Manager Kathlynn McConnell was honored by the Minnesota Credit Union Network with a CU Builder Award.

The Credit Union Builder Award honors an individual’s dedication to the success, growth, and vitality of the not-for-profit financial movement in Minnesota.

Prior to her retirement in November 2023, McConnell dedicated 17 years to the growth and development of credit union employees. Kathlynn was a mentor, confidante, and friend to countless colleagues and a favorite guest presenter at local organizations seeking to build and support their own teams. She personified the credit union philosophy and leaves behind a legacy of empowerment, growth, and inspiration certain to guide and inspire many future industry leaders.

“Her unwavering dedication to nurturing talent, cultivating skills, and fostering growth left an indelible mark on the credit union,” said Susan Shold, Members’ Vice President of Human Resources, “Her ability to connect with people on a personal level created a supportive and nurturing environment that we’ll deeply miss.”

McConnell was recognized for her contributions to the credit union industry on November 16, by Members leadership and representatives of the Minnesota Credit Union Network.
