Tropical Financial Credit Union, one of South Florida’s largest not-for-profit credit unions, announced that Keith Troup has joined the team as Chief Lending Officer.
Troup is a 20-year veteran of the credit union industry. In his new role, he is responsible for all aspects of lending for Tropical Financial Credit Union’s $750 million in assets. This includes the development, management and oversight of lending standards. Troup will also streamline the lending operations and improve the member loan experience.
“I want to welcome Keith to the senior leadership team,” said Rich Helber, president and CEO. “We are fortunate to have someone of his caliber and experience oversee our loan products and portfolio.”
Prior to joining Tropical Financial, he was Chief Operating Officer at the Y-12 Credit Union in Tennessee. During his time there the credit union doubled assets driven in part by operational strategies and tactics he developed and executed on.
Troup graduated from Otterbein College in Ohio with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration and Psychology. He is active member of the CUNA Lending Council where he was a past member of the Executive Committee nearly five years.
