Kellogg Community Federal Credit Union celebrates International Credit Union Day
BATTLE CREEK, MI (October 5, 2015) — On October 15, 2015, credit union members around the world will celebrate International Credit Union Day, an event to commemorate the credit union movement’s history and achievements. In honor of this special day, Kellogg Community Federal Credit Union (KCFCU) invites its members and the community to stop by any of their branch locations for refreshments, drawings, and giveaways.
Credit unions are not-for-profit financial cooperatives that provide financial services to more than 200 million members in 101 countries worldwide. Credit unions continually demonstrate their ability to improve the lives of individuals, families, communities, and countries around the world, and have done so for generations. As a credit union member, you belong to a global movement in which people help people.
Credit unions exist to serve you, the member, not to increase the bottom line. A focus on excellent customer service and member satisfaction sets credit unions apart from other financial institutions. As not-for-profit cooperative institutions, credit unions return their earnings to members in the form of higher interest on deposits, lower loan rates, and fewer fees.
“At KCFCU we know that our members matter most, without them we wouldn’t be where we are today, which is a strong, community-minded organization,” states KCFCU’s CEO, Tracy Miller. “For 74 years we have been providing world-class member service, and we now proudly serve over 36,000 members who we consider our family. I invite the community to stop by any of our branches on Credit Union Day and experience the difference a credit union like KCFCU can make in your life.”
