KEMBA Financial Credit Union hires executive for new role

COLUMBUS, OH (August 22, 2023) — KEMBA Financial Credit Union, the largest Central Ohio-based credit union, with more than 128,000 members and $2 billion-plus in assets, announces the hiring of Dawn Brahma as Chief Sales Officer (CSO).

“We’re fortunate to have Dawn on our team in this brand-new role,” said President & CEO Mark Decello. “Her excellent reputation for driving strategy and delivering results will help position us to grow and better serve our current and future members.”

In this new role at the Credit Union, Brahma – with more than 25 years of experience in the banking industry – will lead the sales team and further support the Credit Union’s member-focused approach. She will have responsibility for the sales strategy, which entails ensuring that the products and services that KEMBA offers continue to meet the needs of its members and improve their overall financial wellness.

“I am thrilled to be here,” Brahma said. “KEMBA has a great reputation for service to members and the community.” Brahma said.

In her vast experience, Brahma has held many roles, from directing frontline teams and sales, to service and operations strategy, to a variety of leadership roles. She holds an undergraduate degree in Psychology from Ohio State and an MBA from Ashland University. In addition, she’s a graduate of the Consumer Banker Association’s Executive Banking School.

Likewise, Brahma’s vision aligns with KEMBA’s mission – existing to enrich the financial lives of its members and associates. She thrives on the idea of improving people’s lives through their finances.

“My purpose is to help people,” she said. “I want to change lives for the better and believe we have the ability to do that in a very unique and meaningful way in the financial services industry. We also have the ability (and obligation) to positively impact people in the tougher moments by providing resources to help change the trajectory of where they can be,” Brahma added.
