ST. PAUL, MN (January 12, 2017) — The Leadership Team and Board of Directors of the Mayo Employees Federal Credit Union (MEFCU) are pleased to announce Kenneth L. Kurth has been honored as a Credit Union Builder through the Minnesota Credit Union Foundation (MnCUF).
“The Credit Union Builder Award is being presented to Ken for his esteemed dedication and faithful service to MEFCU as a Board of Director since 2005. The strategic vision and leadership Ken has provided through times of considerable growth and expansion of our product line and branch office development has been key to the financial and strategic success of the organization,” said MEFCU President and CEO, Mary Hansen. “In appreciation for his gift of time and talent to our credit union, it is our sincere pleasure to present this honor to Ken.”
Kurth, an Administrator at Mayo Clinic, Rochester, MN, began his volunteer service with MEFCU in March 2005 as a Director and continues to serve in that role today. In March 2008 he was nominated to be Board Chair and served in that role for 6 years, during which the assets of the organization grew by 122% and three additional branch offices were opened. Ken is a gifted leader who has made an extraordinary contribution to the success of MEFCU!
Kurth joins 41 other individuals who have been honored since 2008 with MnCUF’s Credit Union Builder Award. The names of the recipients and the contributing credit unions are permanently displayed in the Minnesota Credit Union Network’s lobby as a tribute to their accomplishments. The honorees receive a plaque from the Minnesota Credit Union Foundation, and donors are also listed online and in the MnCUF’s annual report.
