Ken Rosen has joined Sandia Laboratory Federal Credit Union (SLFCU) as Vice President of Real Estate and Facilities.
In his new position, Rosen is responsible for developing and implementing SLFCU’s location growth strategy, including evaluation of new opportunities for delivering in-person financial services to people in underserved areas.
“I’m delighted that Ken has joined the SLFCU team and confident he will play a critical role in SLFCU’s growth as we continue to invest in the communities we serve. He’s a great fit for our member-centric culture,” said Rick Anderson, SLFCU Executive Vice President.
Rosen said he was attracted to the position at SLFCU because of its not-for-profit cooperative structure and its commitment to always striving to better serve its members. “I have spent a great deal of time volunteering for nonprofits involved in literacy and education. I am excited to work for an organization that believes in financial literacy and recognizes the importance of helping its members grow and succeed,” he noted.
He added, “I have learned that selecting just the right location for a new branch is a mix of art and science. Certainly, data and analytics are involved, but it is also important to listen to what members want. And of course, it is critical to negotiate favorable terms, whether it is a lease or a sale.”
Rosen has years of experience helping large, multi-location companies grow by negotiating leases and by identifying and securing the right sites for new locations. He also has extensive expertise in facilities management, maintenance, logistics, strategic development, and more.
Previously, Rosen was part of the management team for a large national flooring retailer for over 12 years, most recently leading its Real Estate Division with responsibility for nearly 400 locations.
Rosen earned a Juris Doctor degree from Washington University School of Law in St. Louis, Missouri and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in History from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor.
