CUNA Lending Council has announced the keynote and closing speakers for the 20th Annual CUNA Lending Council Conference, taking place November 8-11, 2015 in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. Net Minds CEO and Best-selling Author Tim Sanders will deliver the keynote address, while former USS Benfold Commander Mike Abrashoff will conduct the closing session.
“These accomplished speakers come from very different backgrounds, but they both have a personal, experiential understanding of leadership,” says Bob Stowell, CUNA Lending Council conference chair and SVP/Chief Strategy Officer at US FCU. “CUNA Lending Council is thrilled to welcome Tim and Mike to our conference, and we look forward to hearing their insights on what makes for effective leadership.”
Sanders, who is also an internal and external relationships expert, will deliver a presentation entitled “Emotional Talent: The Final Relationship Frontier,” focusing on the importance of managing internal emotions and connecting with co-workers on an emotional level.
Abrashoff’s presentation, entitled “It’s Our Ship – Putting the Leadership Roadmap to Work,” draws upon stories from his time aboard the USS Benfold to convey the power of people in a team environment and show how to enact a culture that motivates employees to raise their performance to the next level.
