La Macchia Group wins ASID Design Excellence Award
MILWAUKEE, WI (April 17, 2017) — At the recent American Society of Interior Designers Wisconsin Chapter Design Excellence Awards, held March 23, 2017, the La Macchia Group team was honored to accept the Bronze Award in the Retail/Showroom category. The award was given for the overall design and concept of its live branch transformation/remodel at Financial One Credit Union in Coon Rapids, Minnesota. Catherine Richardson, lead interior designer on the project, accepted the award, stating “myself and the La Macchia Group team are honored to receive this award and to be recognized for this unique project.”
In 2016, Financial One Credit Union rebranded their image and wanted to incorporate their new brand into their Coon Rapids branch. Some key challenges were to transform the credit union’s existing colonial-style building into a modern facility, create a unique financial experience that stands apart from the competition, attract millennials and communicate its core message, ‘Whatever your need, we’ve got a solution. We’re Financial One – Your Solutions Credit Union.’
The result of the branch transformation was a new branded environment designed to provide members with an engaging retail experience. Upon opening the doors of the space, members encounter a branded teller line backed by a custom vinyl wall covering highlighting Financial One’s heritage with deep roots in the Coon Rapids community. To enhance the member experience, a Member Solutions Center was implemented to act as a space for guests to enjoy complimentary beverages and to use the new iPad technology bar to utilize the digital financial tools provided by the credit union.
