LAFCU has named Julianne Ackerson, of Owosso, assistant vice president of branch operations with the responsibility to manage the Owosso and Corunna branches.
The Owosso branch is located at 1720 W. M21; the Corunna branch is located at 2665 E. M21.
“Julianne’s extensive financial services and branch management experience will help LAFCU continue to provide quality customer service as well as an engaging work environment that attracts and retains excellent employees,” said Angie Ruzinsky, LAFCU regional vice president.
Ackerson comes to LAFCU from Security Credit Union where she was assistant vice president and office manager of the Owosso branch for nearly five years. She has also been a manager with the Owosso branches of Chemical Bank and Citizens Bank. Before entering the banking industry, she worked for SVRC Industries Inc. as employment coordinator for 11 years.
“My focus will be on helping LAFCU members, our community and employees to thrive and flourish,” Ackerson said. “I especially look forward to helping facilitate and expand LAFCU’s community involvement.”
Her community involvement includes serving as vice chair of the board of directors for the Shiawassee County Humane Society, past president and current member of the Chamber Ambassadors of the Shiawassee Regional Chamber of Commerce, and a member of the Patient & Family Advisory Council for Memorial Healthcare, Owosso. She is also a 2013 graduate of Leadership Shiawassee, a Shiawassee Regional Chamber of Commerce program.
A native of Corunna, Ackerson earned a degree at Lansing Community College.
