Lake Michigan Credit Union announces winner of $25,000 Home Makeover Giveaway – Anita Erickson of Cascade Township, MI
GRAND RAPIDS, MI (June 23, 2016) — Lake Michigan Credit Union (LMCU) is pleased to announce that Anita Erickson of Cascade Township, Michigan is the winner of LMCU’s fourth $25,000 Home Makeover Giveaway, featuring spokesperson Carter Oosterhouse.
Erickson’s winning entry was drawn from a pool of over 353,000 electronic and paper entries. She was presented with a check for $25,000 on June 17 at LMCU’s Glenwood Hills corporate office.
Erickson is a loyal and long-time LMCU member (since 1999), and has been entering the $25,000 Home Makeover Giveaway since it all began four years ago. In fact, she entered “pretty much every day this year! I put a LMCU hotlink on my computer desktop as a reminder to enter every day.” Erickson calls LMCU’s 28th Street & Kraft branch office her “home base.” She is a social worker for Care Plus TLC.
At one point or another, Erickson has used LMCU for a mortgage, car loans, credit cards, insurance, checking and savings accounts.
For LMCU President and CEO, Sandy Jelinski, presenting a check to annual sweepstakes winners has become a yearly treat. “This year’s winner is a social worker for a nursing home, so it’s very gratifying to see the big prize go to such a powerful role model. Anita is very deserving, and that makes us very happy! It’s also nice to see the winnings go to an active LMCU member.”
As in past sweepstakes, LMCU spokesperson Carter Oosterhouse was featured prominently in this promotion. Oosterhouse is nationally recognized for his work on a number of cable TV programs dealing with home renovation, design and community outreach. He is a Traverse City, MI native, and a Lake Michigan Credit Union member.
Digital entries were taken online at lmcu.org and at LMCU ATMs, with paper entries available at all LMCU branch locations and expo events. Entrants also increased their odds of winning when friends entered the giveaway through a FaceBook link.
LMCU’s campaign stretched across multiple media, including television, radio, print, outdoor, point of sale (POS), internet, social networks and member communications.
