Lake Michigan Credit Union hires David Collins as executive mortgage loan officer for Fort Myers, Florida area
GRAND RAPIDS, MI (June 29, 2018) — Lake Michigan Credit Union (LMCU) of Florida is pleased to announce the hiring of David Collins as executive mortgage loan officer for its Fort Myers, Florida branch office. He reports directly to LMCU’s Vice President of Regional Mortgage Production, Jayne Malinowski, and will be serving the southwest Florida market.
Collins graduated from Assumption College in Worcester, MA with a BA in business. Previous positions include loan origination at Mutual of Omaha Bank, Regions Bank, Wells Fargo Home Mortgage and AmSouth Bank, all of Fort Myers, Florida.
Malinowski is excited to have Collins join her southwest Florida lending team. “David has lived and worked in southwest Florida for many years. He is highly respected in our community for his ongoing contributions in making our local area a great place to live and work. Dave will be a tremendous asset to LMCU of Florida, bringing his depth of banking knowledge and passion for serving his clients with distinction.

Collins serves on the board of directors for Lee Health in Fort Myers and served as treasurer of that board since 2014. He also served as a past board member for PACE Center for Girls of Lee County, and was treasurer for their Capital Campaign from 2010 to 2013. Additionally, Collins served on the Executive Leadership Team for the American Heart Association’s Heart Walk and as a member of the American Heart Association’s Red Tie Society.
Collins is originally from Cape Cod, Massachusetts and currently lives in Fort Myers.
