Lake Michigan Credit Union (LMCU) is pleased to announce the hiring of Steven Kreider as a personal banker for LMCU’s Premier Banking unit.
Kreider earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in business administration from Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo, Michigan. Previous employment included senior management positions at PNC Bank, Comerica Bank and Fifth Third/Old Kent Bank, largely in private banking and wealth-building capacities.
As a representative of LMCU’s Premier Banking program, Kreider acts as a financial concierge, addressing the unique banking concerns of high-earning and high net worth professionals. Premier Banking serves members with a +$200,000 annual income and +$1 million in net worth with a suite of specially tailored products.
Kreider looks forward to the challenge of his new position, saying, “In the personal banking industry, relationship building is everything. I’m excited for the opportunity to help others build financial security with LMCU’s Premier Banking unit. This position is a great fit for me, both personally and professionally.”
LMCU’s Senior Vice President of Premier Banking, Jim Koessel, is excited to have Kreider on his team. “Steve comes to us with a great deal of experience in private banking and wealth management. He is well connected in the Kalamazoo community and serves on a number of boards and committees. He demonstrates a high level of commitment to client satisfaction and his addition improves LMCU’s Premier Banking division immensely.”
Kreider currently serves on the board of directors for the Kalamazoo Symphony Orchestra and is on the membership committee of the Kalamazoo Rotary Club. He has served as past president of the Leila Arboretum Society, Institute of Banking (West Michigan chapter) and Richland Business Association.
