Lake Michigan Credit Union opens new branch office in Naples, Florida
GRAND RAPIDS, MI (July 20, 2016) — Lake Michigan Credit Union (LMCU) is pleased to announce the opening of its newest retail branch in Naples, FL.
Located at 8635 Collier Blvd, LMCU of Florida will serve the Naples area with a full service retail branch office, consumer lending and mortgage departments.
Lake Michigan Credit Union first made the decision to expand into Florida, based in large part on the significant number of existing LMCU members who call Florida home during the winter season. This expansion started with the opening of a stand-alone mortgage office in Bonita Springs on July 7, 2015. Following substantial mortgage business gains, plans were cast to include a full service retail branch at the same location, which opened on October 12, 2015. The new Naples retail branch opened officially on July 5, 2016.
Florida financial veteran, Miranda Sharkey, who opened the Bonita Springs branch as its manager, will move to the Naples branch. Connie Vestal will take the helm as the Bonita Springs branch manager.
Sharkey said, “The feedback so far from the local community is that they can’t wait for us to open the doors. We will be filling a strong need for more credit unions in this area. At present, there is only one other credit union operating in all of Collier county.”
