Lake Michigan Insurance Agency acquires Katt Agency
GRAND RAPIDS, MI (January 5, 2017) — Lake Michigan Insurance Agency (LMIA), a division of Lake Michigan Credit Union (LMCU), is pleased to announce its acquisition of Katt Insurance Agency of Belmont, MI. This merger represents a number of positive developments for clients of Katt Insurance.
Effective January 1, 2017, the Belmont offices of Katt Insurance officially became a branch of LMIA. For the present, Katt Insurance will be co-branded Katt – Lake Michigan Insurance Agency.
Katt Insurance president, Greg Katt, is looking forward to a smooth transition. “It has been my distinct privilege and honor to work alongside my father (and founder) Claude Katt since 2000. As we become part of the Lake Michigan Insurance Agency team, my father will be embarking on a well-deserved retirement. I will step forward to run and manage our Belmont office operations, effective January 1, 2017.
