Landings Credit Union collects over 8,300 bottles of water for valley hydration stations
TEMPE, AZ (June 20, 2016) — Landings Credit Union is helping those in need stay hydrated this summer with a water drive. According to According to the Arizona Department of Health Services (ADHS) nearly 2,000 individuals annually are treated in Arizona ER’s for heat related illnesses. With temperatures rising above 110, the need for water is even more critical.
Employees and members have been donating cases of water since the beginning of June. On June 15th Landings Credit Union presented over 8,300 bottles of water to Tempe Community Action Agency (TCAA). TCAA provides education, stability, and advocacy to working poor families, children, seniors and the homeless and will distribute water throughout the hot summer months to individuals in need.
Landings Credit Union continues to serve as a water donation site during the summer months. All water donations benefit local hydration stations.
