Laurie Dellevar attains Bank Secrecy Act Compliance Specialist Certification

MILWAUKEE, WI (September 22, 2020) — Corporate Central is proud to announce that Laurie Dellevar, Compliance Officer, has attained CUNA’s Bank Secrecy Act Compliance Specialist (BSACS) certification.

According to CUNA, there are more than 1,500 designees who are recognized as experts in the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA). The BSACS designation signifies dedication to understanding the latest form of illicit financial crimes, including Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and human trafficking.

“Training and certifications for staff provide our members with assurance that Corporate Central has the knowledge and expertise on hand to support them,” said Fred Blask, NCRM, Vice President Risk Strategy & Execution.“Laurie spent a lot of time preparing for this exam and we are very proud to have her on our team.”

Dellevar joined Corporate Central in April 2006 as a Member Service Representative and moved into the role of Compliance Analyst in February 2016. She is responsible for transaction monitoring for BSA/AML, audit transactions, FINCEN Reporting for SARs and 314(a), verification and OFAC checking, updating OFAC and sanctions information, and completing due diligence requests from credit unions. She has also earned her designation as a NAFCU Certified Bank Secrecy Officer (NCBSO).

“Due to the pandemic, CUNA is conducting all training and seminars virtually, but going through the BSA Compliance Specialist Certification was truly a quality training experience,” Dellevar said. “I’m glad to have the extra knowledge to keep our BSA/AML program strong.”
