Lavelle and O’Briant join SWBC Lending Solutions™

SAN ANTONIO, TX (April 8, 2015) – SWBC Lending Solutions™ is pleased to announce two new additions to the team – Allen Lavelle as Vice President of Commercial/Residential Appraisal Management and Brandon O’Briant as Vice President of Business Development.

In his role, Lavelle will oversee the direction and growth of the company’s commercial and residential quality control division, staff appraisers, and vendor panel of more than 8,500 appraisers nationwide. He will also be responsible for ensuring valuation products are prepared in compliance with all regulatory and industry standards.

“It was important to find someone with Allen’s breadth of knowledge and experience in order to further enhance our reputation as one of the top quality Appraisal Management Companies (AMC) in our industry,” said SVP Chuck Mureddu, Chief Valuation Officer.

Prior to joining SWBC, Allen worked for the Banc of California as Chief Appraiser. He has more than 37 years of appraisal valuation and consulting experience in owning and operating his own commercial real estate appraisal and consulting business. Allen is a Certified General Appraiser for the state of California, and he has a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from United States Military Academy – West Point. After graduation he served in the United States Army as an infantry officer in Vietnam. He also holds an MBA from Boise State University. He is active in his community as a Cubmaster for the Boy Scouts of America, on the Board of Directors for the Irvine Pony Baseball and American Youth Soccer Association, and has coaching and referees licenses in the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) and American Youth Soccer Organization (AYSO).

As Vice President of Business Development, O’Briant will be responsible for developing and executing strategic initiatives for business development in valuation-centric and settlement services products.

O’Briant joins the company with more than 16 years of residential valuation experience, including sales, appraisal, and valuation management. His experience spans from business development for several appraisal management companies to Analyst and Valuation Director for capital markets securitization for Goldman Sachs and New Century Capital. Most recently, he served as Valuation Business Analytics Manager for Fannie Mae. O’Briant holds the Graduate REALTOR® Institute (GRI) designation, is a Texas and California Certified Residential Appraiser, and a Texas and California Licensed Broker. He has a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of North Texas and a Certification in Management from Southern Methodist University. O’Briant is a member of the Metro-Tex Board of REALTORS, the North Texas Real Estate Information System, the National Association of REALTORS, and the Texas Association of REALTORS.
