YORK, PA (December 15, 2017) — On Monday, December 11, 2017, First Capital Federal Credit Union’s President/CEO Sue DeStephano and Community Engagement Officer, Lisa Barshinger; presented a check for $500.00 to Leg Up Farm.
The money was raised through our First Cap Gives Back program. We selected four charities to support, one per quarter. And, Leg Up Farm was chosen as the 4th Quarter charity. To raise money, staff sold soft pretzels to members at all our branches. Employees also paid $5.00 to wear jeans on a specific day. In all, First Capital raised $500.00 for Leg Up Farm. This is in addition to being the Leg Up Farm Fall Fest Presenting Sponsor in October.
“We always enjoy working with Leg Up Farm. Over the years, staff have taken part in work days at the Farm, volunteered for the Fall Fest, and helped build the playground,” said Tara Houser, Vice President of Marketing. “We are truly blessed to have such giving staff and members.”
