Legacy for Good Foundation & Legacy Credit Union Donate $17,000 to Children’s of AL

BIRMINGHAM, AL (September 11, 2014) -- The Legacy for Good Foundation partnered with Legacy Community Federal Credit Union to raise and donate $17,000 to Children’s of Alabama through its Legacy for Children’s initiative.

The Legacy for Good Foundation and Legacy Community Federal Credit Union partnered to sell t-shirts and 100 Legacy Credit Union employees also participated in a Legacy for Children’s Casual Day to further support the Legacy for Children’s initiative.

The combined efforts of the Legacy for Good Foundation and Legacy Credit Union raised $8,500 for the Legacy for Children’s initiative. CO-OP Financial Services matched Legacy’s donation bringing the total donation to Children’s of Alabama to $17,000. This is the largest single donation that the Legacy for Good Foundation has made since its inception in 2010 and it looks forward to being able to make more of this size in the future.

Legacy for Good Foundation Chair Gina Cannady stated, “I am so excited that we were able to donate $17,000 to Children’s of Alabama. My son utilizes the Children’s on 3rd HEAR Center regularly. I have seen the amazing things they offer children in this state.”
