Local Credit Union Executive Receives National Honor

HARRISBURG — Diana Roberts, President/CEO of Hershey Federal Credit Union of Hershey was recently inducted to the 2012 Credit Union House “Hall of Leaders” in Washington, D.C.

Created in 2008 by the Credit Union House, LLC, the Hall of Leaders provides lasting recognition for individuals who have demonstrated an outstanding commitment to credit unions and who have made a significant impact on the credit union movement at the local, state, or national level.

Nominated by the Pennsylvania Credit Union Association (PCUA), Roberts has been a member of the PCUA Board of Directors since 1992, and has served in a number of leadership roles, including Chairman from 2007-2009. Roberts also served on the Credit Union National Association (CUNA) Board of Directors from 1997-2008, and held a number of committee appointments, including CULAC Trustees, Awards Committee and Ethics Committee Chairman.  She currently serves as Vice-Chairman on the CUNA Cooperative Alliances Committee.

“Diana has devoted her entire career to advancing the credit union movement. Her service at the local, state, and national levels are unparalleled” said PCUA President/CEO Jim McCormack. “We are thrilled that she is getting national recognition for her dedication to the credit union movement.”

The Hall of Leaders displays the names of leaders who have played and continue to play key roles in strengthening the credit union system.  As the credit unions’ permanent presence in the nation’s capital, Credit Union House is the ideal location for this lasting recognition. The display allows visitors the ability to visualize the many individuals whose cooperative efforts and strong commitments have built the credit union movement.

Credit Union House, LLC, located in Washington, D.C., was constructed through the cooperative efforts of every state credit union trade association and the Credit Union National Association.
