Throughout April 2021, Central Credit Union of Florida will be celebrating National Financial Literacy Month. During this time, the credit union will be promoting their free financial counseling service to members and non-members alike. The service helps individuals create budgets, organize funds to allow for smart savings, pay down debt and in general, plan for the future.
“A lot of people are still trying to recover from the events of last year and many are realizing now how important understanding their finances can be. Central is committed to serving your needs by not only offering beneficial products and services, but by also educating and empowering you to take control of your finances. Learning how to better yourself financially shouldn’t cost you which is why Central offers this free service for everyone. This is really what Central is all about, people helping people,” states Todd Cunningham, Chief Experience Officer and Marketing Manager at Central Credit Union of Florida.
Partnering with EVERFI® and Zogo® Finance, Central Credit Union of Florida is offering several ways in which someone can educate themselves on what financial health is and how to obtain it. With their financial counseling program, a person can take advantage of live, real-time, professional guidance from a certified counselor. CCU financial counselors are accredited through the Credit Union National Association (CUNA).
Central Credit Union of Florida will be promoting the service online through their website and on their social media accounts in hopes of reaching as many people as possible.
